Stuart Goddard names as Captain |

Congratulations to Stuart Goddard on being selected to lead Llangennech CC First X1 this season. He has played through the ranks , starting at the age of 11 and has won caps for Wales and Dyfed County. He becomes one of the youngest players to captain the First X!.

The First were forced to make two late changes against Mumbles, with skipper Darrel having to pull out with his troublesome hamstring problem and Nathan Richards was suffering after a road accident on the Friday. This made way for a new opening partnership, with an average age of just over 16, in Owen Morgan and Jonathan Taube. Click here for a full report from their official site.

Eric Lewis has been awarded the award for outstanding services to sport at the Carmarthenshire Sports Personality Awards evening at the Stradey Park.
This achievement is well deserved and a tribute to his services not only to Llangennech Cricket Club but also to the sport of cricket. He has served as a groundsman for 35 years and was on the management committee of the S.W.J.C.L. at its inception in 1973 and later went on to be Chairman for 6yrs and the official auditor for 30years , a position he still holds. He is currently on the management committee of the SWCA.
