We have just added a Calendar on the Main Menu for registered users, which will allow users of the site to easily see what's happening in the area in the coming weeks.

We are still adding new events to the calendar so it is incomplete at the moment, registered users will also be able to add their own events which will be a great aid to people who run local clubs, pubs or organisations.

If you would like to use the calendar you do need to register on the site - it doesn't cost anything and we will not pass your email address onto third parties.  Just click on the 'Create an Account' link on the left hand side of the Homepage.

The events listed in the calendar will be available on the 'Upcoming Events' section by the weekend to make sure that everybody using the site can see events and know what is going on in the area.

The Calendar has now gone live and can be accessed by clicking on the Calendar link on the Main Menu.  Once you click on it you can change it to display a weekly, monthly or a list view.  To find out more information about each individual entry in the calendar just click on it and you will see a description, start and approximate finish time, contact details and web site if available.

You can also see what's coming up in the Upcoming Events Menu on the left of the main page - the left hand menu is disabled during the calendar view to make it easier to read.  Those articles in the Upcoming Events update automatically from the calendar.
