What is a Transition Town?

It is a community initiative seeking an effective response to the challenges of Peak Oil and Climate Change.  It is part of a non-political network of Transition Towns across the British Isles.

Councillor Gwyn Hopkins has written an interesting document entitled “PREPARING WEST WALES FOR A FUTURE WITHOUT OIL”.

As you can see, Gwyn has written about the situation Cuba faced.  Chris Slader hosted an evening recently at the Llangennech Community Centre where around 40 people saw a video about Peak Oil.
